Due to the lack of teachers and subs right now and those that are quarantined, Schuyler R-1 will he going virtual starting tomorrow, Wednesday the 28th. We will return to regular seated classes Wednesday November 11th. Teachers will be meeting with their students today and preparing them for what is expected.

Mrs. Blessing’s Freshman Physical Science Class move a fun balloon rocket lab outside. This activity gives students an opportunity to build a balloon racetrack and measure the speed of their balloon.

October 19-23 is National School Bus Safety Week. Bus riders have practiced a bus drill, some classes are showing their appreciation to bus drivers, and the SRO would like to share some info regarding restraints (see attached).

North Andrew has told me that there will be no bleacher seating for Friday’s football game. Any fans attending on Friday are encouraged to bring their own seating.
The October board meeting is tomorrow, October 22nd. It will begin at 7:00 P.M. in the conference room next to the Superintendent’s office.

Kickoff for Friday’s football game at North Andrew has been moved up to 6pm.
If you are coaching a youth basketball team at Schuyler and plan on using the gyms for practice, please plan on attending a short meeting next Tuesday (10/27) at 5:30pm. We will figure out practice times/days for teams that night. Coach Prewitt will be running the meeting.

Schuyler Elementary celebrated National School Lunch Week with Opaa! this week. Stickers were placed on random trays for prizes and a coloring contest had a popcorn party reward for several classes!
Anyone who plans to attend the little kids basketball games tomorrow at Schuyler, please remember to practice social distancing. Bleachers will be marked for appropriate distancing.
