Dear Parent(s) or Guardian(s),
The safety and welfare of our students and staff are our highest priority at Schuyler R-1 Elementary. We practice safety drills throughout the year to help our staff and students know what to do in an emergency. On Tuesday, December 18, 2018, we conducted a school-wide intruder drill.
The goal of drills throughout the school year is to improve our ability to protect students and to be sure all students feel safe. These practice drills allow us to evaluate our emergency operation plans and improve our response skills.
If such an emergency were to occur, we would utilize the Family Reunification Plan. This plan can be found on the school’s website at http://www.schuyler.k12.mo.us/article/59328?org=schuyler-country-r-1.
Please talk with your child, if you deem it appropriate, about the drill. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call us at 660-956-4125.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Wayman
Schuyler R-1 Elementary Principal
