Mrs. Applegate’s second graders received a positive behavior referral for being great listeners and motivated learners during math.
Second grade visited Schuyler County Nursing Home to hang Christmas decor made by elementary students and to sing carols for the residents!
Mrs. Homer's third hour 7th grade English class created posters to go with the Hunger Games book. The posters were to encourage sponsors to support tributes in the games.
Trenton Shootout-
Schuyler boys and girls basketball team will be playing in the Trenton Shootout on December 21st 2017. Girls will play at 12:00pm vs Polo, Boys will play at 1:30pm vs Polo. Games will be held at the North Central Missouri college in Trenton.
Our HS choir and K-2 students put on a fantastic concert tonight! We had a wonderful crowd as well! Thank you for your support.
Grades K-2 and HS choir Christmas concert is tonight at 7:00 PM in the high school gym. Students are asked to dress nice and should report to their homerooms between 6:30 and 6:50. Parents can pick up their children from their homerooms after the concert.
Two Schuyler County Special Olympics participants were selected to hold the flags to start area bowling Saturday. Ashlyn Lay received a Bronze medal! Heather Novinger, Alyias Bass, and Katie Nolte received Gold medals!

Mrs. K's 9th grade American History class completed the annual Monopoly tournament with seven winners. Ian Miller, Preston Bridgeman, Payge Humphrey, Kristin Ward, Lexi Clifford, Christian Kelsall, and Jordyn Gray were all winners at their tables. Jordyn Gray was the Grand Champion, cashing out with a total of $32,990 in assets.
Several Schuyler County students are participating in the Special Olympics area bowling today. They’re doing great and having fun!
Nurse Christine visited the preschool classes during their community unit. She read a story and explained her role in our school community.
Preschool had some baby goat visitors at recess last week. Thank you Mrs. Dixon for bringing them in!
Our second graders all worked very hard on their Indian dioramas. They presented them today. Great job!
Way to go Mrs. Myers’ fourth grade class! They placed 52nd out of 1028 qualifying schools in a national Sumdog contest. This means that these students did a lot of math problems in their free time.
Kindergarten is having a Thanksgiving feast for snack time today!
Preschool invited Sheriff Wuebker, Deputy Moss, and Saul, a police K-9, to come visit today. Sheriff Joe spoke about what they do and how they help the community.

The Schuyler R-1 FFA Chapter will be hosting their Annual Fall Blood Drive, today from 2:30-6:30pm in the High School Commons.
