Schuyler R-1 School Board Filing Dates
Qualified applicants for the Board of Education may file for office beginning at 8:00 a.m. in the superintendent’s office commencing on the seventeenth (17th) Tuesday prior to the election (12/9/25) and ending at 5:00 p.m. on the fourteenth (14th) Tuesday before the election (12/30/25). The normal business hours for the superintendent’s office are 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, excluding Christmas break (12/19/2025 – 12/30/25). The office of the superintendent will be open for one (1) hour on the last day of filing December 30, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The candidate shall declare his/her intent to become a candidate, in person and in writing to the secretary of the Board of Education. The names of the qualified candidates shall be placed on the ballot in the order of filing.
Candidates must be citizens of the United States and resident taxpayers of the District, reside in his/her district for one year preceding their election or appointment, and are at least twenty-four (24) years of age. Candidates must comply with all of the prevailing laws concerning eligibility and campaign financing. Three (3) directors for terms of three (3) years each will be elected on April 7, 2026.

9-12 grade schedule changes can be made between now and November 14. Changes need to be signed off from the new teacher and your parents.
Preschool has so much fun with a variety of activities each day! They utilized their fine motor skills in lots of ways last week.
