The Schuyler R-1 School District is taking applications for a certified teacher for 2024-2025 school year. The duties will be for a permanent substitute, ISS monitor, Varsity Girls Basketball Coach, Assistant Varsity Softball Coach, and other duties as assigned.

IHCC Theatre presents Greater Tuna! A long-running off-Broadway hit that features the entire population of Tuna, Texas in a tour de farce that is faster than a jack rabbit runs from a coyote. Featuring the comedy of Ed Howard, Joe Sears, and Jaston Williams, Greater Tuna has been performed for 30+ years making it one of the most produced plays in American theatre history. It will be a barrel of laughs, y’all!

First pitch for tonight’s game vs Paris is being pushed back to 5:30pm to allow the field to dry.

Correction: Incoming 8th and 12th grade students will need required shots before next school year. Another packet went home with students this week. The Health Department will be here this month to administer shots, please return your form ASAP if you would like your child to particiapte.

What a fun Family Activity Night! It was great to see families play games, make various materials they can use at home, and pick out books to take home! Thank you Casey's and PTO for providing pizza.

Our 4th, 5th, and 6th grade students had the opportunity to watch a Charlotte's Web performance and attend the Literature Festival at Truman last Friday, April 12th.


Elementary Parent/Teacher Conferences are Thursday, April 25th 4:00-7:00. Your child's teacher will notify you if they would like for you to schedule a conference. At that time, please call the elementary office at 660-956-4125 to select a time.

Incoming 8th and 11th grade students, please remember you must get your updated vaccines before next school year starts. Nurse Calhoun sent home paperwork yesterday for you to have your shots done during the school day, please return those permission forms ASAP!

The baseball games at Atlanta are postponed for tonight 4/16. A reschedule date will be announced once decided upon.

Today's (4/16) HS track meet at Truman has been canceled.

Carter Hoffmeyer averaged 100 points per game in the morning rounds of district play to earn a spot on the All District team. Congrats Carter!
