This week is National Library Week. We'd like to say thank you to our librarian, Mrs. Stuart! Elementary art students made the feathers in the reading wings.
The HS and JH Schuyler A Scholar Bowl team both received 2nd place at the Scotland County tournament today!
Congratulations to our JH track teams. The boys won first for the second year at our home meet and the girls finished second. Great day by both teams.
With springtime, comes state testing time! Here are the dates we will be testing in Grades 3-11.
Please make sure your child gets a good night's sleep the day before testing and eats a good breakfast the day of. If you know your child will be gone for one of the testing days, please contact the office to let them know prior so we can find a make-up date.

On April 30, the Schuyler County Health Department will be offering REQUIRED vaccines to all incoming 8th and 12th grade students. Forms were sent home with these students, please fill those out and send back before April 30. Again all incoming 8th and 12th grade students are required to get these vaccines before the start of next school year.

The Special Olympics will have Area Track this Saturday (April 6). Parade of Athletes will start at 12:30pm with running events to follow. All events will be at Truman. Alyias Bass will be presenting the Athletes Oath.

Her colleague praised her for jumping into her new role quickly this semester. She is kind and caring as well as a fast learner willing to jump in and help anyone and anywhere she can.
FAFSA has been a huge challenge this year and the rootEd Program would like to encourage all seniors to complete the FAFSA by April 19, 2024.
If 65% or more seniors complete the FAFSA by the deadline we will draw for a new pair of Apple Airpods! Please see the attachment for details from the rootEd Missouri Program. Stop in if you need help submitting your FAFSA. I will need to verify you have completed your application and add your name to the drawing once we reach 65%.
To the class of 2024, if you qualify, please fill this out. It's a $2000 renewable scholarship!
The 2024-2025 Access EXTRA Scholarship application is NOW OPEN! Due to FAFSA delays, the application deadline is May 15, 2024. The scholarship application is still first-come, first-served as funds are limited.
Missouri Scholarship & Loan Foundation’s Access EXTRA Scholarship is a private scholarship of up to $2,000 per year for students with a Student Aid Index (SAI) of 12,000 or less and who have earned a cumulative 3.50 or higher on a 4.0 scale weighted or unweighted GPA through at least seven semesters at a Missouri high school.
*Special Note*: If a student does not yet have their FASFA Submission Summary (FSS), we will accept one of the following alternatives: 1) screenshot of Estimated SAI from the confirmation email from Federal Student Aid OR 2) screenshot or printed copy of the Estimated SAI based on the Federal Student Aid Estimator (located at https://studentaid.gov/aid-estimator/)

Golf meet tomorrow at Schuyler is canceled. We are working on a makeup date.
Tonight's (4/2) baseball games vs North Shelby are being moved to Schuyler. It will be varsity only with the first pitch at 5pm

The Class of 1981 graciously donated $200 to the Schuyler R-1 High School art department. They did so in honor of their class sponsor and art teacher Barb Kristofferson. Mrs. K was employed at Schuyler from August 1978 through May 1987. She was a positive figure to many students at Schuyler R-1.
The Schuyler R-1 High School art department would like to say “Thank You” to the class of 1981 for the donation.
